I decided to study engineering to better understand how the world works — to design and create tools. Over time, I realized that what I was truly building were bridges between my emotions and my rationalization of reality. This led me to ask: What is a technology?

In a certain way, technologies are windows that project our essence across time, and they also function as doors through which we reach those projections. Our first technology, and perhaps the most important one, was language itself. Since then, driven by the cognitive revolution, we have projected our being into reality. Every door we cross grants us greater energetic capacity in shorter spans of time. Each time we move more in less time, and that carries responsibility.
