From the encounter between science, art, and metaphysics arises this singular proposal presented by the young Mexican artist Sebastián Estivill at Orfila Gallery. "Chronotopes of Consciousness", as the exhibition is titled, brings together a group of oil paintings—mostly large-scale, in keeping with his country’s muralist tradition—through which he seeks to immerse the viewer in a symbolic perception of what he calls Fluxum Temporis: the symbiosis of time and energy; a constellation of entropic pathways projected from the past and from memory, through the present, toward the future, by way of imagination.
