In the attempt to rationalize what cannot be rationalized, one ends up celebrating the beauty of Chaos. When I first arrived in Madrid, like many other migrants, I experienced emotional tides in a state of complete uncertainty. This painting offered me a refuge, a place where I stopped suffering the unknown and began to seek its value. The human experience may well be that: a struggle between our will and entropy. We live between times, experiencing what one can become, subject to the consequences of how we use our time and energy. As individuals and collectives, we are perhaps explorers of possibilities—travelers across time through doors we carve with ingenuity, doors that catalyze our use of energy. We inherit a world of consequences, which we shape according to our challenges and will pass on to those who continue the path. This painting is a glimpse into the tides of those exchanges, where everything is continuously transformed within an ocean of entropy.
